Named after Michael Fallon, an early settler, the city of Fallon is located in western Nevada, about 60 miles east of Reno, at the junction of highway 50 and highway 95.
Situated in the Lahontan Valley, amidst rugged mountains, Fallon enjoys high-desert dry weather year-round.
The city is home to Naval Air Station Fallon. Attractions in the area include Grimes Point and Hidden Cave archaeological sites, Lake Lahontan State Park, Nevada Maize Maze and Sand Mountain.
